Nausea and vomiting are the most common symptoms of pregnancy. It is often accompanied by feelings of fatigue, swollen nipples and breasts, food cravings, spotting, cramping and frequent urination.
The cause of nausea and vomiting are not known yet but it varies among women, with some women showing signs of nausea and vomiting within eight weeks while others within four weeks. Have snacks in between meals to avoid feeling nauseous or other physical discomforts. But make sure they are healthy snacks and take short breaks if you feel fatigued. A walk after lunchtime could also relax you from the constant work and help in digestion. If you are planning on visiting your doctor, arrange your work schedule around it.
If you are in a nuclear family then keep the phone directory at hand, in case you are feeling very sick. The spouse or partner has a very big role to play if you are pregnant and in a nuclear family. It is not about the support solely, he needs to understand the discomforts you are going through so he can help you overcome them. Keep yourself as active as you can by exercising regularly, eating healthy and getting sufficient amount of rest.
