Step 1 BEGIN WITH THE BABY’S LEGS. Apply oil on the thighs, legs, and ankles. Raise one leg at a time and using light squeezing movements, massage gently from the thigh toward the ankle. Next, rotate the feet clockwise and anticlockwise several times and end by gently pulling each toe.
Step 2 USE THE SAME DOWNWARD STROKES FOR THE ARMS, beginning from the shoulder and going down to the ?ngers. Use the thumb and ?rst two ?ngers to stroke and pull each of the baby’s ?ngers.
Step 3 TO MASSAGE THE UPPER PART OF THE BODY, trace circles with both your hands radiating outwards from the chest. Next, give a little pressure and run your hands alternately from the chest down to the thighs.
Step 4 TO MASSAGE THE BACK PORTION, tip the baby to one side holding him/her under the armpit to support the head and the neck. Massage the back with the palm of the free hand. Once the baby can hold the head up, lay him/her on the tummy and use both hands to draw circles on either sides of the spine, spreading from the neck down to the buttocks.
IF YOUR BABY LIKES IT, use feather-light circular strokes to massage the face, beginning from the forehead to the cheeks and back.
