Several questions might come to your mind when you are travelling with your newborn baby. What if your baby gets fussy on the plane/ train? What if she does not get enough sleep? Much of your trip will be spent on soothing and giving necessary comfort to your baby. After all, he/she will need your constant attention, feeds and diaper changes and there is always a risk of your newborn catching an infection while travelling.
But in many ways travelling with your baby can be a rewarding experience. Often, babies are surprisingly good travellers. Infants are not as fragile as you fear. By the age of three months, they become good candidates for travelling. But there is a protocol you have to always keep in mind – create a home away from home –for you to enjoy your travel.
You have to be careful so that you can cater to all your baby’s needs. You cannot lose your patience dealing with your baby. This just might make the situation worse. Travelling with your baby can exhaust you, but you can never compromise with his/her safety whether you are travelling in your own car or public transport like trains or planes.
